Baby Talk

My baby has entered that great stage of talking. It's cute. She says all kinds of funny things like "I nake!" when she takes off her jammies and "I stuck!" when her head is caught in the kitchen chair. The thing she says most often is "Where Lila?"
Lila is my four year old and Violet's hero. She asks for her all the time. Five in the morning - "Where Lila?". Again at six am "Where Lila?". As soon as she gets up from a nap - "Where Lila?". Sitting next to Lila on the couch "Where Lila?". You get the point, right? Our oldest is jealous as hell. It drives her nuts that the baby is so obsessed with Lila. Especially when Lila gets up in the morning. You'd think the Queen had come to tea. When Violet hears Lila coming down the stairs she runs around yelling "Lila! Lila! Lila!" And when her Majesty enters the room Violet throws her arms around her neck and gives her a kiss. It's all very precious.

Jasmine hates every second of it.

Funny! When the oldest is a teenager, she'll be happy about it - of course by then the baby will probably be obsessed by her!

Darryl- What kills me is that Lila is sitting right there when she does it!
Catt- Thanks for visting! Yeah, your probably right. Pretty soon they'll all be in those behind closed doors teenage years and it will be peaceful!

It's actually bona fide psychology. They say that little kids automatically gravitate to the youngest person in a room, etc. Better rapport I guess...or something. Less threatening maybe? I don't know...the psychologists probably know that too. I have noticed it over the years though. It's true...
